T.E.A.M.

Our Chosen Charity For 2021 (Temporary Emergency Accommodation Midlands)

T.E.A.M. provides residential services for homeless women and children from the Midland Region of Longford, Westmeath, Laois and Offaly at their hostel Teach Fáilte, Mullingar.
The hostel consists of 11 units which are designed to meet the needs of both individual women and mothers with children. Since opening in 2009, over 750 women and in excess of 750 children have come to stay at Teach Fáilte.
The hostel is staffed 24/7 providing supports and individual key-working with residents to help them deal with any ongoing difficulties they may experience and support them in moving on to rebuilding their lives.
T.E.A.M. is a registered charity and receives funding from Westmeath County Council and HSE, however there is an annual shortfall of €70,000 which must be raised from fundraising and donations. The charity is governed by a Board of Directors and relevant sub-committees who give their service for free, therefore all money raised goes to providing services for the women and children in Teach Fáilte.
